Granary Building, 1 Granary Square London, N1C 4AA
Venture House, 27-29 Glasshouse Street, London, W18 5DFThe restaurant and coffee roastery comes to King’s Cross
The original opened up in Exmouth Market to great reviews and now they’ve opened their second restaurant in the renovated Granary Building in King’s Cross. As with the original, there is a large coffee roastery on-site which supplies Caravan’s coffees and there is inside and outside seating on the square. It serves a “food well-travelled” menu all-day as well as serving cocktails at the bar.
The restaurant itself offers an eclectic run-through of modern dishes from the Mediterranean and Middle East typified by interesting pairings of niche ingredients – from mellow goats’ curd set off by in-their-prime nectarines and sweetly braised onions or a colourful scrum of tomatoes, chickpeas and flatbread pieces accompanied by yoghurt and fried chicken with moist red melon, sweet-sour tomatillos and a chilli kick. With delectable brunch options, renowned home-roasted coffees, small plates, large plates and everything in-between, Caravan is a true all-rounder.
