It all began with a man called George, who opened his first shop way back in 1967. He wasn’t happy frying any old fish, right from the beginning only the highest quality fish he could get his hands on would do. It’s safe to say that we’re still as obsessed with what we serve today as we were back then!
Some people may call us a chain or say we’re a little corporate BUT we’re far from that! We’re a growing family where George’s son Andrew and lifelong school friend Nick, with the help of around 300 of us stick firmly to what George believed in right from the very start!Everything we do here at George’s is built on our values and this especially applies to how and where we get all of our products from. Put simply we wouldn’t serve something to your family that we wouldn’t serve to our own. We build long lasting and close relationships with the right suppliers, treating them fairly and supporting them wherever we can to make sure that the quality of our produce is trusted by ourselves and our customers.
