Growing from one venue to 10 in a short period created a challenge for Mikhail Hotel & Leisure Group. Its estate spans hotels, pubs, restaurants and competitive socialising venues, each with different operational requirements, but the technology supporting them had developed separately.
Different booking platforms, payment processes and reporting systems left teams moving between software to understand performance across the group. For commercial and finance teams, this meant unnecessary administration and less time to focus on improving the business.

Scale:
13 venues across hotels, pubs, restaurants and competitive socialising
Challenge:
Disconnected systems and limited group-wide visibility
The Challenge
Mikhail Group paused its expansion plans after reaching 10 venues to establish a more consistent technology foundation. The business needed systems that could support each venue’s individual model while providing central control, reliable integrations and a clear group-wide view of operations.
The priority was not simply to replace EPOS. The team needed connected technology that would bring together sales, stock, labour, payments, reservations, property management and accounting, with practical information available from one place.
“Not having integrations in place, having to log into different pieces of software to get different sales from one of the venues to a different software for another venue.”
Geoff Wareham
The Solution
After reviewing four or five EPOS providers, Mikhail Group selected Tevalis for the depth of its enterprise platform and integration capability. Tevalis created a tailored ecosystem for each venue, connected to central management tools that provide visibility across the estate.
The group now operates 68 EPOS terminals, alongside TevX mPOS devices, kitchen management systems and self-service kiosks. Cloud-based Tevalis modules, Business Analytics, Centralised Management, Stock Management, Finance Management and Insights, support estate-wide reporting and decision-making.
Key integrations include:
“Tevalis is a system that I could log into and see everything that’s going on within our estate at the click of a mouse.”

The Result
One view of the group
Management can access sales, stock, discounts, voids, forecasts and labour data across every venue from one central system. This reduces the time previously spent switching between platforms and manually compiling reports.
Integration that supports each concept
Rather than forcing every site into the same operating model, Mikhail Group can connect the specialist platforms each venue needs while retaining a consistent source of operational data. This gives the group both flexibility at venue level and visibility at group level.
Faster decisions from practical insight
Tevalis Insights presents group-level information visually, helping teams identify expected trends and spot issues that need attention. Information can be fed back to general managers and owners more quickly, supporting more informed decisions.
A stronger platform for expansion
With its core systems standardised, Mikhail Group has expanded to 13 venues with Tevalis as its long-term EPOS, enterprise and integrations partner. The group is also trialling kitchen management screens at The Windmill, with the intention of replacing kitchen printers more widely.
“Changing POS is a big job within any hospitality company, especially when you’ve got multiple venues and different types of venues… Now that we’re through the whole process, we’re convinced that we made the right decision in picking Tevalis.”
